Dr. Saterbak joined St. Croix Orthopaedics in 1998. She graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine in 1992 and completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Iowa Department of Orthopaedics in 1997. After residency, Dr. Saterbak studied sports medicine for one year at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado where she concentrated on shoulder and knee arthroscopy and cartilage regeneration techniques.
Dr. Saterbak is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Following her interest in sports medicine, Dr. Saterbak provides care to local sports teams including Stillwater Area High School, University of Wisconsin-River Falls Athletics and the St. Paul Saints Baseball team. Additionally, she is a consulting physician for the United States Ski Team.
Dr. Saterbak participates in the education of Hennepin County Medical Center family practice sports medicine fellowship program. She is a consultant for the National Women’s Sports Foundation and has published on the use of knee braces in sport and knee ligament injuries in world class ski racers.
